Fascinating exhibtion. This is really like the Körperwelten exhibitions, but then from a different organisation, I assume? I've been to Körperwelten in Brussels during the christmas holidays, but it wasn't allowed to take pictures. Do they use the same technique to preserve the bodies? The scene is very interesting and ti's a bit of a pity that your camera shifted to longer exposure since yuo didn't use the flash (I assume flash was prohibited?): did you put it in an auto mode? If not I would have tried increasing the ISO: you used only 80 and for indoor conditons that is really low. Increasing the ISO to let's say 400 would allow you to shoot at a faster shutter speed and that would help you to keep the photo sharper while still not using the flash. 1/3 secs is really difficult to hold steady without a tripod. All the best, Gerd

Ooooh you caught spring already... God that's early. I'm longing for higher temperatures and sunny days here myself. Thanks for posting this lovely scene from the nearby future! The DOF is absolutely splendid as is the sharpness of the subject. Vivid early spring colours and good framing make it a top shot. Grüsse, Gerd

I love simplicity in a shot ... and this is a textbook example of how to catch attention with a seemingly "everyday" scene. I like how you composed the shot with respect to the position of the trees. Very good work. Groeten en een fijne zaterdagavond, Gerd

Nice to see my post from yesterday inspired you to go through your own photos of this exhibition. I haven't had the privilige to visit the Terracotta Army in China, but the exhibition in Maaseik was a golden opportunity to taste the incredible history of China. I like the diagonal presented in this photo, as well as the focus, with lots of detail on the first head and fading towards the back. Not easy photographing items behind glass, but you did a great job. Ik zie dat je slechts een paar daagjes na ons naar deze tentoonstelling geweest bent :-) Ik vond het zeer de moeite waard ... nu nog eens in China geraken: een mens moet kunnen vergelijken he ;-) Groeten, Gerd

Your lifelong passion for photography is amazing. It's wonderful to see how you bring up photos from decades ago, when the digital equipment we have now didn't exist and was unthinkable. I like this one from my birthyear 1980, with the monotone blue and the oh so graphic composition. Thanks for sharing your archives. All the best, Gerd

You are one of the best note-writers on TE for sure! :-) And that extra information is really what TE is about!. As for the photo, I like this tunnel effect with the soft lighting. The image has very good overall sharpness and you chose a nice angle. All the best, Gerd

Lovely lighting and shades in this shot. Again, the tree nicely frames the top of the photo, something I really like. You've done a very good job in showing us part of this beautiful village. All the best, Gerd

The tranquility that breath from this wonderful autumn scene is just wonderful. It is very well composed and your use of the shadow/highlight feature in photoshop really worked to get the details back. I also like how the branches frame the top of the photo. All the best, Gerd

Would have been nice if you had had the opportunity to take two shots from the exact same spot, one empty and one with the winners. Then you could have placed the shot of the winners as a layer over the empty one, and then play with the opacity & fill buttons to add transparacy to the winners. :-) Just an idea for next time of course :-) But I also like this journalist style combination of the original photo and the workshop. Colours are vivid yet realistic and the sharpness is really good. All the best, Gerd PS: Sorry I didn't make it to Athens for this event :-)
