This looks like it was a grand school house in its day. I like abandoned buildings of the plains, so I'm finding your themes and photos interesting. These photos really strike me, you can see the hope these people from another time had about their lives and future, which is now our past...

I think you cropped this nicely, and the brown/grey colors give a very old look to this dilapidated structure.

I agree, this is a well-composed shot. The tree stump and sheep in the foreground add some interest to this. I think having a great expanse of sky adds to the desolate, empty mood of this photo.

While the photo could use some technical work - white blotches at the top left, people in the background, it's understandable considering the circumstaces of this photo. It really caught my eye. I might not visit this place, but in the spirit of TE you have certainly shown another part of the world - and another part of time. The positioning of the figure and his obvious distress are very evocative.

I don't know the first thing about combining two different exposures - it seems technical and difficult! Anyway, you did a masterful job with this one, the colors are simply stunning, the house is well placed and the effect of water is beautiful.
