Interesting beast with the colour of her dress matching the red roofs of Sveti Stefan. I don't think she's much bothered to have her picture in your camera sensor as well...
Like the curve of the sea line...draws our eyes into the Sveti Stefan

Great POV from the tower giving a real bird's eye view of this beautiful city. I remember they allowed to get up the Bell tower of the cathedral as well from where you can get a fine view of the square
Lovely shot & hope you are doing great!

Actually we used a car to get up here...and its indeed a fascinating view from here. We stayed here past sunset savouring the beauty of the walled city light up.
This is a wonderful picture of the polygonal (loosely) structure of Dubrovnik

Picture perfect postcard from Budva...No picture of Budva cannot be complete without this statue...Nice pastel hues in the BG.
I honestly didn't like this place so much with the uninhabited 'development' and rampant encroachments onto the beach. The place smells money

The other is the optimistic one, with a faint smile, unsure but still holding onto faith. is that a rosary between his palms ? he wants to be the child who grows up normally, to ride, to swim and play, have a future, a life worth living.
this is such an important photo given the context and condition of a country ravaged by decades of war. your gallery chooses to show smiling faces of families and people and landscape. a breath of fresh air. The only time i get to see photos from iraq is through the work of photojournalists and freelance workers. They are addicted to showing hopelessness, loss, despair, the dark side with no future.
Respect, admiration Kasia.

you should have a fantastic time here and since photography is your forte i would suggest you travel asap. you will embark on a journey like no other.
well about these gimmicks that the locals are unto is just to make some extra pocket money, they don't usually expect but the sight to a western tourist could mean some handy cash, i was on one the basket boats in the coconut farms in Hoi An, central vietnam and the fisherman spun the basket around with quite incredible speed, like a top, like one of those theme park rides when you small, right? but it was all cool, he enjoyed it as much as i did. there was no signal, or suggestion that he wanted to be tipped at the end of it. but honestly, some damage is done, and i speak for myself and from what i have observed india. some foreign tourist who aspire to make photos end up paying the locals only for photographs ! to me, its not good taste, if you have to, you could just buy something on their behalf etc. what happens eventually, they expect it from every tourist who would want to make some candid photos too. They get aggressive, see it as a breach of private space or a dent in their business. Photography is not about that really. I think if you could smile and have a small conversation and exchange ideas, money is the last thing on their minds.
but these little gimmicks make your trip, tips aside. i like the photo and fact that you opted for a fast shutter to make the silhouettes stand out.
cheers

Not the typical Dubnovnik postcard..eh?
Nice high POV from where the lit up bell towers and the dome contrast well with the semi-darkness. Awesome exposure
Postcard-istically speaking, this picture could be from any where in Europe...it does not have the Dubrovnik stamp on it

I think the mountains create a fine backdrop for the famous bridge & the minaret. Fine blue hour shot. Apart from the above, its interesting to see specks of light in the lower slope of the hill behind. Good exposure & work!

I am breaking my TE silence to applaud your latest posts.
I love this long view of promenade..indeed one of the main attractions of this small town. We can see the bridge which we used to go to the other island & on the left the old town. Actually we never got up this castle & hence missed this awesome view. Crisp & crystal clear which is the Mariusz trademark!

Indeed the architecture is very Tibetan...small windows, thick walls & the quadrilateral shapes design around the windows. The close framing works well...the golden prayer wheel on the roof is a strong focus grabber
