Looks like Chamundi Hills is the place to see and take photos of colourful saris. The choice of hues is wonderful. Yes, definitely a good scan. :-)
I'll search for photos of Nandi bull.
    Have a nice day.

I think, on this occasion, the main shot wins for it shows two ladies and the WS only one. :-)
Seriously though... What a remarkable collection of colours! The blue and red matches the chariot and the green and yellow (lime?) are a bonus set.
Interesting to see the merchant in WS with the same choice of produce arranged in the same way as in the WS to your previous upload.

    Hi Gert
Magnificent architecture. Thanks for the link to an earlier shot, it's interesting to see the tower from different sides.
The street life around the gopalam is equally important in the image, especially the man and his merchandise in the foreground. His presence links the photo to that in WS - a seller of an eclectic mixture of flowers and fruit (are those round hairy things coconuts?).

    Hi Gert
There seems to be some order to these posters, 3 or 4 of the same one or similar in a row so they created a pattern. I also like the matching red elements, including the stand in the bottom left.
The street shot in WS - I remember that kind of light in the late afternoon in the cities of the Subcontinent. Irresistible photographic treat.

Beautiful trio of photos. Not just because of the subject matter but they are also really well composed - I like the lady in pink in the main one, the ox card in the WS and the outlines of cars in the night shot - thanks for the note, I don't have to ask this time if you used a tripod :-D
    The palace indeed looks huge.

    Hi Gert
I agree that this fabulous rickshaw makes the image a lot more interesting. The boy with the wooden box is a good main subject too but he looks as if he was walking out of the frame. I bet you wish you captured him a moment earlier but that's what street photography is like!
Nice pair of photos from this town, even though, as you said in a previous post, it was not that interesting.
It was nice to refresh the acquaintance with the lady in pink in the photo you sent the link to!

Nothing wrong with postcard views, especially when they include fascinating local architecture, a beautiful reflection, a wooden bridge and a boat! But I do love the WS shots too. Your street photography skills shine bright in those images. As for which of the three I prefer - I love them all.

    Hi Gert
I'm pretty sure I'd find that non-romantic boat more romantic than these days' touristy house boats... :-)
If I didn't know you I'd think this was a staged shot, so brilliant is the choice of colours and the poses. The light is also lovely, even though the sky seems rather clouded.
I have no choice but to add it to my favs.
Best wishes and greetings from my other country.

    Hi Will
Glad to see you managed to post it after all. I experience no such issues, maybe because I'm using a laptop rather than an ipad, but I still don't understand why it should make a difference!
Anyway, about the shot. I really like this natural beauty of black and white (no matter how I try to replicate this in digital pp, I never get the kind of shots you get).
I didn't know that there are no roads there - so, I assume, there are no local cars either? Or do people bring them in on ferries?

    Hi Craig
Agreed - this is the best viewpoint to photograph the old city of Dubrovnik. It definitely resulted in a pair of very nice images. The light is not so bad, sometimes overcast weather is good for this kind of aerial shots and I think this is the case here.
Hope you're well and just not posting due to lack of time (which is usually the case with me!).
