That "killer" photograph.....

Just for a moment, let's forget points - that's not what this question is about at all. In fact, let's forget TrekEarth for the purpose of this thread.

As we prepare to greet the New Year (a "leap year" - so one extra day on which to do whatever you want) what would you like to photograph most? What would it be? Where would it be? Why would this be the pinnacle of your year?

It doesn't matter whether it's realistic or just a dream - just try to imagine the photo you'd love to take the most, to frame and hang in a gallery, post on the 'net, have published or just have for your sitting room wall.

For me, it'd be Milford Sound and New Zealand's fjord landscape.

What about you........?

Such a big world with so many options. It seems incredible, but my first choice would be exactly the same as Paul's! That would be closely followed by almost anywhere in the Canadian Rockies.
Maybe it's because we both live on this small, crowded island that the empty spaces and big skies appeal so much.

My dream: a picture taken from the summit of Mount Everest.
Second choice: a shot of the South Pole.

The christmas shopping frenzy on the high street of any town. The early snow in the mountains in Spain. Tourists eating baked beans in shorts.

This is a very interesting thread. Thanks Paul. I would love to go to a place called Sandakphu , a palce that offers a view of the highest mountain peaks in te world, including the Mt. Everesst(along with other eight thousanders like Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu) and the Eastern Himalayan ranges like Mt Kanchenjunga and family. I would love to get a shot of the sunrise over these peaks as the first rays lit up the peaks in flame.
Hope I'll do it.....Wish me luck!!
