1) Gavarnie is on one of the Santiago routes
2) I didn't n follow it
3) I'm 72 and nt too old to sleep in an igloo tent!
4) In brief 1 hour walk in the mountains corresponds to 2 to 3 km, depending of the steepness of the slope, so roughly 10 to 15 kms per day. I am used to walk 26 km per day on a flat ground....
