To jemaflor: Yes

I would have prefered it without the fence also, but there was a cliff and no options to get around the fence and still have the tree. :) I took many more without the tree, but liked this one the...

To Wahclellaspirit: Thanks!

We actually love to stay in the little cabins just above the state park there. Spent several days walking on the beach and taking photos, two things I love to do! It does seem like you've wished us...

To edge: Glad to see you too....

I've not been here much either, but decided to try again at least a little. The berries are I believe on a Mountain Ash....so "Ash Berries" although I'm not completely familiar with the plant, but it...

To Wahclellaspirit: I've never

seen that park in the winter with snow...it would be beautiful, but I hate to travel in the winter so I probably never will. You'll have to brave that one!

To derek3755: So....

I've been using the auto settings, and had this at landscape. So if I used the manual settings, do I use a bigger number f-stop or a smaller number? I'm still trying to figure out my new camera!...

To colinbrenchley: I agree after

that the hill in the background is pretty boring looking. I'll post some others I took while kneeling closer to the ground. The problem with that is everytime I got close to the ground I had 4-5...

To Matthew-Watt: I agree totally Matt

about the overexposure. Acutally this is the best of the 5 photos I took. I probably could have adjusted for it better in Photoshop, but left it as is for this one instead because I kind of like the...

To Wahclellaspirit: Thanks! Can't you just....

Can't you just see me standing there on that road, dripping wet, trying not to get my camera wet?? I don't much like hiking in the rain!
Glad you liked the photo. I hope everything is going well...

To Wahclellaspirit: We did drive down

to the lake that's past this cinder cone and played in the water. What a road! We didn't see any elk or goats although we were there late in the afternoon too so we'll have to go back someday and...

To Dyerco: Hello Phil....

....I had another go at PP using your suggestions. I think I'll use the USM in the future as I like it better. I posted my result in a workshop, let me know if you think it is an improvement. Thanks...

Re: To LCannon: Hi Lori

I'm not exactly new to photography, but everything I learned I did here...from the first "level your horizon" to the "rule of thirds" critiques. I actually have learned a lot looking at workshops...

To Wahclellaspirit: Yes I had to

drive the very next day! Legs not too sore though, it wasn't a bad hike at all. It was kind of late in the year for the wildflowers though! We used Mirror Lake as a break from that nasty road! Malia...

To Ann75: Hello Ann....

...yes I did have fun hiking, although I didn't do as much as I wanted to. As for camping, on the Crater Lake trip, we paid for 5 nights ahead of time, but our limit is 4. We were all "camped out"...

To Floydian: The boat

didn't stop on Wizard Island on our trip. We had the last trip of the day 4:00-6:00 pm. We did see a bald eagle sitting in a tree on Wizard Island though. I got a photo, but a small one with my small...

Re: Compression

You're right my camera doesn't allow shooting RAW, and I am shooting at the max file size. I try to do any editing before I change the file size, then use noise reduction if needed and USM usually....

To rgarrigus: Hello Bob,

I'm using Corel Paintshop ProX for PP. I agree I've noticed some weird look to some of my photos. I try not to "mess" with them too much, and sometimes I don't notice it until after I've already...

To Wahclellaspirit: We thought

about them a lot on our climb too, imagining that was where they are probably at, and how impossible it will be to ever find them. I certainly wouldn't want to climb that far up on the mountain!

To Wahclellaspirit: I did know that

Actually, well not that it was the "largest", but I did know there were a lot of Black Bear in the area. I saw a lot of signs of them, and I kept looking, but the only wildlife I saw were some...
