Default To mjdundee: Thanks

Hello Thomas,
The Olympus E300 is indeed a 4:3 ratio, but I never thought that this would not be suitable for landscapefotografie. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I have now a Canon 40D, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore. My Canon 30D had a great failure during that beautiful vacation, so I used the Olympus a lot.
My best regards,
Klara

Hello Klara,
I do use a compact dust and waterproof Olympus mju and I am very satisfied - but I am convinced that you can hardly find a camera more suitable for perfect noise free and with 2:3 ratio than the 40D. So you have the choice of two very competitive systems and always a backup option, which is good. No matter what brand - failures can always happen. It happened to me with two SLRs during extensive travel - a Minolta and a Canon and I was very glad each time to have a backup option with me.
Best regards,
Thomas
