Default Critiques

I'm not too happy with a lot of the critiques I've read lately. Especially mine! I hesitate to even call them critiques. If you don't say anything useful about the photograph, then there is no point in posting a critique.

Please, when you post, say something about the composition, lighting, cropping, etc. Don't just say you don't like it, or "I've seen this already". That's not the point here, as I see it.

I don't maintain that I am a genius at this, or even terribly experienced. But, I thought I might get some useful information from this sight that I might learn from.

Default Re: Critiques

I'm having a hard time with what is a critique. Would like to participate but I'm not a technical photographer, meaning I have the basic's down and the rest is instinct & desire.

So this is what I have to learn! Very useful to read the gold star critiques of other photographers and their discussions.
