Great messenger1 2008-02-18 22:38

Hello, Patrick -
Amazing array of colors in this sunset, and the composition is great; it flows well from the grass in the foreground to the reflective water to the trees to the multi-hued sky.

It's great to see someone getting such good results from the same equipment I use a lot (Canon EOS 400D with the kit lens). The lens may not be the highest quality but I've gotten some decent shots out of it. Would be interested to hear your thoughts about working with this stuff.

Default To messenger1: kit lens

Hi,

When I first started using the 400d I thought the kit lens was good, but as I have gotten more familiar with it and seen the results achieved by other lenses, I have since bought a few more, the budget sigma 18-50 is a great alternative that you can pick up for around 90, I mostly use my sigma wide angle 10-20 now though.

Cheers for your comments,

Patrick
