Very interesting photo. I can't help but ask, do people actually walk down here? This is a great post for its cultural value.

Hello Kate,
Thanks for your estimates and interest to my post. So, this pedestal is not really a walking area, people just put candles there. Only what you can its just walk along the pedestal, it is long enough and forms two semicircles around the Pagoda. Best regards Andrew
