Hi Chris,
Very interesting reportage.
It is really hard to feel sorry for Germans in this respect.
Millions of people were killed or simply murdered, most of Polish tows were destroyed in the war which Germans started.
Visiting places like this they should remember what they have started but instead they are lamenting over damage which was caused directly by their greed, arrogance and the desire to take over the whole world.

As bad as 9/11 was, it was like comparing a flea to an elephant after what happened in Europe in WWII. Not just 2 buildings destroyed as in NYC, but entire cities almost completely destroyed. Warsaw, Dresden, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Coventry, Berlin, London blitz, and on and on. Thankfully today's Germans are more pragmatic and less nationalistic. Let's hope for no more wars any time soon. But I worry about the Fascist regime in China. Thank God I left there in June 2012 just as Xi Jinping arrived into power.
