Default Need advice about contacting a member

I found a photo on this site that is perfect for the theme of a web site I am working on. I have tried to contact the photographer/member to request permission, and if necessary, provide payment for using it.

The member has not responded to my inquiries. I don't see any links on TrekEarth for contacting the Web master to get advice on how to proceed, so I thought I would just post here and see if someone can help me.

Sincere thanks in advance. -dwayne

Hi Dwayne;

When members join TE, the only contact details it requests are an e-mail address. So I somewhat doubt they would have any more luck contacting the member then you did. I assume you went to the members bio page and sent them an e-mail via there?
It might be worthwhile in mentioning the members name who'm your trying to reach as other members may know them and assist you.

Best of luck!
- Dan

Try google or the other Trek sites.

It's possible they have migrated to another Trek site with more up-to-date contact info.

Or leave a comment on the photo itself, they may see that.

I do not see a problem with directly naming the member on these forums. Maybe someone knows them personally. It's not like you want to point them out in a negative way. I'd also reccomend checking Trek Nature and/or Trek Lens. Many of the photographers use all three Trek sites.
Good Luck Dwayne.
