Great holmertz 2022-08-08 12:04

Hello Luis,
I am glad the 18th century attempts to rebuild this church failed. I am sure it looks much better today without any Baroque alterations. This façade is very beautiful and you took the photo at a time of the day when the light was the most favourable and the colours turned out very nicely. The tall pillar in front of the church looks a bit odd. I wonder what its function was.
Best regards,
Gert

Smile To holmertz: Cruisers

Hi Gert.
The cruisers were an exponent for the religiosity of the people, installed at crossroads and next to churches, favoring that the people always had access to their religiosity to pray, without having to enter a church, which could be closed.
