Very simple check: I enter my name and let google do the work.
Since the Seoul Times give credit to the photographers (at list that point is a positive one) and since they have many entries it comes in the first google search replay.

First, I have made a search with google on my name and the Seoul Times appeared twice because they used two photos of mine kindly annoted with "Photo Courtesy france demarbaix".
To find those of the TE members, I sought "photo courtesy" + "the Seoul times" then I compared the photographs of the articles found with the TE galleries according to the illustrated country or areas. A large job of research!

I guess you have to take the risk - or feel flattered. Or, of course, avoid publishing pictures that you can sell and get money for. (Or publish them on TE after you have earned money for the pics.) I have been asked a couple of times, about permission to publish photographys I have on TE, TL and TN. I said yes and felt flattered. I think it is impossible to control whether somebody in the world publish your photo. So lets take the risk!

I add small copyright watermark with url of my site on all my photos before publish it in the web. But if I try to sell images, I add big transparent or emboss watermarks.
I use Batch Watermark Creator for adding visible watermarks: http://www.easy-tools.net/batch-watermark/index.html it is more simple and speedy.

...you have no pictures on TE...
All of them were stolen and then sold for a big buck on the black market... Possibly - they had no watermark attached to them or somethn' .................... BTW: How much it will cost me if I want my my photos to be stolen from TE ? Is there any price list on such stuff...? I constantly read those romantic stories about the photo-masterpieces stolen from the website and wonder: 'How come my fotkas are never stolen' ? They are as good masterpieces as those stolen ones or, maybe even better masterpieces then their masterpieces... I count them every day hoping that maybe some day one or two will be missed... Naaah... Even if there are some missing from time to time - I always get the e-mail informing me where they are...! What... Are my masterpieces worse than your masterpieces ...? Mamaaaaaa !!!!!!! .................................

I have all of your photos printed out....life-size and up for sale. ................. Wanna buy one of them? They start out at.....well....make an offer! Going to the highest bidder... .................................... They are heavily pixelated.....the 800 width causes some of that!
