>> Interface: flash
> I donīt think this would rule out anyone. I think you might be surprised. Corporate users will often have Flash disabled (or be prevented from installing it) by their IT folk. Those of us who hate enormous crawling, CPU hogging, flashing and annoying adverts will also disable it. I can honestly say that removing Flash from my system has been the one thing that has most improved my internet experience. There's very little real content that I can't look at, but most of the junk vanished overnight ;) > Interface: session time-out. I think that's because FF isn't clearing the session cookies, because you're continuing the same session. On a public machine I'd hope you weren't doing that! |

Corporate users should concentrate on their work anyway! ;-D Btw, do you have any statistic showing the ratio between users with and without Flash installed? I bet itīs installed on more than 90% of systems. Flash ads are drawing more attention than text or static ads, which could bring some more cash for this site. Itīs ads that power sites such as this one, ainīt it right? >>Those of us who hate...annoying adverts will also disable it.> Interface: session time-out. Thx for clearing things out for me and for your advice. Luckily, in most cases, I use own notebook or cell-phone for browsing internet. But still, on other websites I am not able to return to my accounts this way. |

I would not call it human laziness but will do allocate resources efficiently. If you can set location by few clicks and very intuitively on one website, you expect the same ease-of-use elsewhere.
I do it this way: 1. open Google Earth 2. make a Placemark at a spot where I took the photo - in the New Placemark window you can see the coordinates 3. I convert these figures to decimal format at this website 4. paste to TE Up to now I have not found more efficient way to do that. :-( Btw, the searchme.com UI is pretty cool indeed! Iīd love to see that on TE! |

3. I convert these figures to decimal format at this website
----------- In GoogleEarth you have the option of showing the coordinates as decimals as well, so you don't need to do the conversion. |

Nah,
We need to set our sights higher friends! Check out the workshop on my latest image Luminositā to see an example of what proper geo-tagging functionality should look like. Easy-Peasy and it would be a huge addition to the search functionality of the site as well. Cheers! Bob G. |
