Very good composition in this picture, vertical works perfect. Really like his expression, you captured the moment!
If I can offer one small suggestion: I would have cropped more from the left (where is nothing interesting) and show more in the right – the tip of the boat in the image would have been nice and in that way the boy would have been centered. Never the less an outstanding shot!

Thank you very much for your critique of my image. I do agree with your comments that I should of panned slightly to the right, but I was on a moving boat and sometimes you don't have a great deal of time to compose. Also at the time I took the photo a friend of mine distracted me by making some funny faces.;-)
