Hello Ourania,
Was this building left as a monument and a reminder of the bombardment on purpose? It is an impressive silent witness of what happened in 1943 indeed. The mood you captured here around the ruins was very special. The tree in front of the house and the cloudy sky fit really well with the subject of the picture.

Hello Lars,
thank you very much! I call it a monument because it bears witness of the bombardments and the great crisis they caused to the island, it's been standing there, an empty shell, for so many years. It's like an imposing ghost over the main road and within a lively neighbourhood.
