Thank you so much for your kind words.
To be honest, I did try recording more empty square, and maybe have the people further back in the scene but with no luck so in the result I have a lot of versions of this spot but this was the best compromise of the light and people's poses. Also the moments with good light were really brief. My wife and daughter missed these moments, they gave up and went shopping.

I had a similar experience to yours while visiting The Hague.
Yes the weather makes a huge difference.
It really discourages me from visiting the countries in the north, hence I still rather postpone my trip to Stockholm, rather aiming at the southern destinations with a more hope for the sunny weather.
