I have been using Rebel XT cam. Now, thinking of buying a good lense for my cam.I was thinking of Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM lense.
I want to know the experiences of using this lense and pros and cons.I have gone through all the review sites available. If, this lense is not good then I need sugegstion which lense to buy? Mostly, I take nature shots both in broad daylight and also in low light as well as in Night. Need suggestions. |

I think this 17-40 f/4 lens offers good value for money.
if you shoot without tripod at night, not still architecture I mean like people in a market, you might want to get an f/2.8 lens, but this will cost significantly more. JY |

the 17-40 is not that suitable for low light, you'll have to shoot at ISO 1600 all the time and it might not be sufficient... you cant get the 16-25 2.8 but it will be very expensive or you get the 17-40 for daylight and you can buy the fixed 35mm f2 for low light as a not that expensive option...
