Great Royaldevon 2020-11-24 3:04

Hello Benny,

What a fascinating story.
Yes, the mayor must have been unpopular to warrant such attention.
This is a fine follow up to your previous photograph in details and colours but, I wonder if you will have a look at what I suggest. If you crop some of the sky (which I know is very atmospheric), the statue immediately becomes more obvious, with much greater impact.Without the crop, it easier for the statue to merge with those very strong building facades.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Cool To Royaldevon: crop

Thanks for your reaction, Bev & thanks for your appreciation.

As for the crop: as a local who sees the statue at least once a week and who has seen countlesss pictures of's the sky (and the light) that attracted me most here, so I wanted to give it lots of space in the frame. Hence the framing, I suppose.

Default Crop

Thank you, Benny, for your reply.

I realise why you wanted to include the sky, which I mentioned in my critique, but your title draws attention to the hand and as one who has never seen the hand, my thought was that, a crop made the hand stand out more clearly.

The sky looked amazing on your previous shot!

Never mind
I did enjoy both of your photographs!
Regards, Bev
