flickr is the best IMO, I agree with what Dora (Thea) and Jinju have written above. It takes of course some time to sort out where to go to find photos that are to our taste, but there is much more freedom, more variety of styles, creativity and daring stuff and many more examples to follow. Terribly inspiring ! A mine with endless discoveries, very easy to use once we've understood the system.

If I had more time, I would also explore : there too, it's not easy at first to find what we are looking for, but like on flickr, thanks for instance to the favourites taken by members that we admire, we get to know other photographers, on and on. Take for instance this Turkish photographer and the favourite photos that he has chosen : of course, this is my personal taste - and just one example !

Otherwise, I regret that everyone is disseminating and still come back here once in a while to see what's being done ; but in comparison, while here there are a few dozen photographers that I admire (and some good friends too), on flickr there are hundreds of them and I sense, many more to be discovered !

Someone who made the same move to flickr wrote this comparison that I find amusing and somewhat true : trekearth is like a small provincial hotel or a tiny inn for families : there, one cannot avoid to hear all the disputes and arguments, everyone knows each other for the better or the worse and it's rather limited, whereas flickr is more like an international hotel where one does not notice all the persons of one's floor but makes great, fascinating meetings in the lobby, with all sorts of people from different styles and origins. Personally, among the 2 options, I chose the 2nd one !

I don't like international hotels. They all look and smell the same and have no taste.
Where you can find good critiques or workshops?
