Hello Malgo,
I have obviously not eaten plov, but it is just as obviously the same word as 'pilaf', so I have obviously eaten similar dishes in other countries, like Iran or Afghanistan. It also looks very much the same as an Indian biriyani. This looks tasty, but I feel than Ian's wife was right that it's too fat. The colours make it ideal for photos, but what are those white things? Mushrooms?
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Gert,
Thank you for the critique. Indeed, it can be too fat , but plov I ate in Tashkent was not. The white things are eggs - bigger chicken eggs, smaller - quail ones. Have a nice day MAlgo |

Hi Malgo and Gert,
Because of the different sizes of the white stuff, I would have expected it to be cheese and not eggs. The combination of chicken and quail eggs, of course, means the difference in size. I suppose cheese is not used very often in Central Asian cuisines. It does look appetizing. Kind regards, Paul |
