Thanks for the visit. This indeed a good vantage point, I did not have a good camera with me. I posted the photo anyway as a segue to the nect shot. I'm glad you knew the town and the vew from the top. Did you notice the dedication of the photo.

You may remember this weekend from your years in the US; it is Memorial Day Weekend, with an extra day and a most welcome one. I am currently teaching a summer school class (nuclear physics), but more exciting still is that I've just agreed to do a book, " Leonardo's Universe: the Renaissance World of Leonardo da Vinci," for the National Geographic Society. I mention this, since this will take me to Italy for a short but crtical visit.

Congratulations on your new book agreement. When will you be in Italy? I'm scheduled to give a 2.5-hour lecture in NATO summer school nearby Pisa in 2008. Will have a lot of traveling to do this year but not to Italy.
