It's about time French pubs discovered 24 hour opening! Fancy being closed when the English were coming - what kind of pub is that?! Probably governed by all sorts of EU laws! I didn't vote Brexit but a closed pub in France is enough to shake anyone's resolve!
Great photo though. I am a sucker for reflections nd this is a well composed one, that in fact, woudl want to make me visit France.
I am less frequent these days my arms and hands are getting much worse, dropping things and clumsy so I am afraid to pick up my camera, though I had my pre op on Monday so it's only matter of time b4 I'm back snapping away I hope.

Hello, Mike. Thank you for your warm critique.
I was wondering how you were going on. When will you be having your op? I hope it is a great success and that you are able to regain all your dexterity. I am just off to visit our dear friend. He is suffering with cancer and we have to timetable ourselves to visit him, he has so many doctors and carers attending. I can't believe that last year we were playing badminton! Still, I know you will understand how I feel. My best wishes to you for your forthcoming op, Bev

Not been given a date yet despite having the pre op! Weird but true.
I do know exactly what you are going through I have been through it myself with now departed friends and family so many times now and I had to ask people to timetable themselves and be mindful of how much time they spent with my father. It's good that you can be there now and say what your heart needs to say. It's good that you got to spend that time playing badminton together since those are the memories that endure and ease the pain of any loss. After all it is the events of living that make us feel alive and are the memories to be treasured rather than the events leading up to death. So long as we have those memories we never lose the person we knew completely. Anyway - this is getting deep and personal for TE! So, just to say, my thoughts are with you both and your friend.
