Great Emiel_Skyfreak 2006-09-29 3:54

I've been searching for pictures of Salto d'Angel..as I was thinking it should look impressive..the highest waterfall on Earth ! And I think you've the best shot on TE of this fall. Good POV (from a plane) and good sharpness and colours. Also strong composition, having the whole waterfall in picture.
I think it's a majestic place..I'd love to see it for real sometime.
Thanks for sharing.

Regards,
Emiel

Default To Emiel_Skyfreak: Hi Emiel

Thanks for your note.

I belive you are thinking about to go to Venezuela. Please, if you can, do it.

To me it was a wonderful travel, specially in Canaima and Kavak (you can see my and the others photos in TE). Venezuela is a very cheap country if you go there and contact with venezuelan people. Don't buy in Netherland your travel, only the plane. Then you will go to Ciudad Bolivar and there you will find all tourist services you can imagine.

It's not a dangerous country.

This photo I toke by plane, in the most incredible fly I never did.

I hope you can go and enjoy as we did.

Greatings,

Jordi.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I will go, atleast I hope to go!
But it will not be in the near future, I'll keep it in mind for somewhere in the further future. When I'm done with my study probably.

Getting only the plane seems a good idea indeed.
How are the food and hotels over there ?

Greetz,
Emiel

Hi Emiel.

You can find nice cheap hotels in Ciudad Bolivar, but in Canaima (Salto del Angel), the hotels are "hamacas". You need three days to visit all, then you have to sleep there only two nights. You can sleep in one hamaca. It's fun

The food, I don't know because I'm vegetarian and I always eat very well.

See you,

Jordi.

What are hamacas exactly? I can't make an imagination of it..are they just small rooms..or what?

You also don't eat fish?
Hmm I can try vegeterian food, not that much of a problem, as long as there are nice vegetables.
