Hi Hemant,
I think the vistas offered on this route is endlessly trilling. How long is this journey? Any website you can refer me to?
Nice colors on the terraces & fields.
Regards,
Latiff.
PS: Congratulation on your new camera.

Hi Latif,
Thanks a lot for appreciating the picture and apologies for the delayed reply as I was travelling out of station. here are millions of sight descrbing Leh and Ladakh region. You can search on the google and take a look at variety of areas. To give you sme tips. This is a part of Jammu and Kashmir state in India. The region is known as Ladakh and Leh is the capital of the region. It has huge aea with border with China and lil bitb with Pakistan. It offers unexplored territory and very hostile terrain. But its a travelers and trekker's paradise. People come and stay in Leh for month. I took a 10 days road trip. There are three ways to reach Leh. 1. Road trip via Manali (in Himachal Pradesh State) to Leh which is approx. 475 Kms. long and takes two days drive. The terrain is hostile but extremly rewarding....I would say the best bet. 2. Road trip from Sri Nagar to Leh which is 425 Kms two days road trip. One can reach Sri Nagar by air or by road. 3. Direct flight from Delhi to Leh which is fast and convenient but lacks adventure. After reaching Le there are hundreads of miles to explored in either side. We are going again this summer to explore some diferent part of Leh as it is alsmos impossible to cover all in one go. Best seson is between July to End sepetmber as its open for roa traffic. Rest of the time its closed due to heavy snow. Right now temperature there is between -20degrees to -60 degrees. Good luck Hemant |
