Great euryan 2008-05-05 11:02

Boy, everyone seems to be moving to flickr, or some other site. Maybe I should check it out as well. Anyway, this is a lovely alpenglow photo. I have similar one of Mt. Fuji at sunrise (not uploaded). I hope sporadically participating on TE means you will still be uploading photos at least once a week. Please don't abandon us!
Take care,

Thanks Ryan,

the appeal of a site such as flickr is that you can upload many photos so friends and family can view them, there is less pressure in adding elaborate notes and critiques, the images can be less than prefect and still be acceptable, the context is less restrictive (you can show your dog or flower or bathroom).

OTOH the site is less personal, the galleries and layout somewhat disorganised, a really good photo such as those in your gallery may not receive as many views, comments, and exposure as on TE. I'm still a beginner there, and have not had any time to participate much at all there, so these are just my observations for the past week.

I'm not abandoning TE, I guess one photo per week will be the norm for this trial period.
