It is really astonishing how alike the landscape and physical geography of Southern Finland,in this picture, and the geography of Northern Ontario, Canada look. If you hadn't said it was Finland I would have thought you took it right here in Northern Ontario. Beautiful picture.

Default To stevencosby1992: landscape sililarities

Hello Steven,
What you say is interesting. I have earlier heard that there are places in Canada the landscape of which resemble that of Finland. I have one my age net friend in Ontario, however, close to Lake Superior. He is actually a Finn, who moved to Canada already as a kid. According to him too, there are many similarities. No wonder Finns went to Canada earlier rather than to the warm states of USA. In adition to a similar landscape, they got a similar weather too :)
Thanks,
Lasse
