Hello Kath -

I hope you have stayed warm these last few days.

You got the light spot on in my book! My images are just do-do compared to this one. I like the side light how it lights the foreground and the background while leaving the middle in shadows. The light on the fence is just a tad harsh, but I am sure you can recover it with a bit of work. I like the moody feel that you have developed. As I recall we were all working feverishly to capture the last light and trying to stay warm with the bitting wind coming down the divide. You nailed it, as we like to say here in the USA.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks John
Rob & I discussed the images we took and we agreed that the sky on the wider views actually spoils the images as it makes the scene look too busy. There are so many clouds and so many different lights and tones in them. He isn't satisfied with his for that reason and it was why I chose this zoomed in version over the wider view in the WS. Could that be the reason you are dissatisfied with yours? Funnily enough I don't remember being cold, although it was such a strange day weather-wise I'm sure it probably was.
Take care
It's snowing at the moment but doesn't seem to be laying. Keeping warm this year is costing a fortune!!
