Great rigoletto 2011-07-16 15:15

Hello Joanna,
We also have such old tombstones in my city Istanbul, on which the inscriptions are done in Ottoman alphabet. People who can read them find very interesting sayings, even sometimes small poems in there. You made great use of light here, the result is good.
Regards,
Deniz

I also visited an old Jewish cemetery in Kraków/Poland - tombstones are not so crowded there but the atmosphere is similar. I was with a friend who, as theology student, had learned some Hebrew, but this language is tricky and, as the stones are old, hard to read.
I wonder if there are still distant relatives visiting some of the graves.

Thank you for your visit
Joanna
