Hello Mr. B,
What a truly magnificent high relief, and photographed to perfection. I like the presence of the young woman dressed in bight red and yellow adding color highlight to an otherwise gray stone (any idea what kind of stone?).
In the note, however, there is a small suggestion. You write, "Spanning a period of about 600 years between the 6th and 10th century AD..." that should be "400-500 years."
The light conditions were ideal.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Dear Professor 'A'
Indeed you are right... The caves are datable between c. AD 575 and 10th century, around 500 years. I have changed the note accordingly The caves were excavated from volcanic rock, mainly basaltic...this terrain is predominantly volcanic (old 'Deccan Plateau') Best Regards Angshu |
