Bab Jedid, a photo from Alger, Coast

Photographer's Note

This is a view on the Day (turkish governor) palace in Algiers. The street becomes from Bab jedid (new door) one of the five doors of old Algiers Medina (Bab Azzoun, Bab Eloued, Baba Dzira and Bab Elbahr). This palace was also the stronghold of the city :It's Kasbah in old arabic language and since french colonization, all the old Medina of Algiers is called Kasbah of Algiers ! The photo was taken with my Samsung phone !

very interesting place, what's exactly the meaning of the name of the doors? (Baba Dzira for example, my father was born in Tunis and he talked me about a door called like that),
