Escaping from shadows, a photo from Adrar, Inland

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken the first day we spent in the Tadrart region, in Sahara, last January.

At that period of the year, night is falling quite early (6 p.m.) so we were heading to our first bivouac in those beautiful landscapes, where, at sunset, lights and shadows are fighting.

Great shot--I love the depth created by the alternating shadows and highlights. I agree with sines about the sky, and will submit a Workshop.

Très belle vue de ce désert. Le contraste rouge-orange du sol avec le bleu du ciel est bien vu. Les ombres donnent aussi un effet saisissant.

A fine shot and very sharp and clear unlike yesterday's sandstorm. Warm colours and well composed, but I would have left the car a little more room.

Hello Emmanuelle,
Wonderful landscape!. The colors of the rocks and sand makes a good contrast with the sky.
Only the closer car tracks make some noice in it.

Great lighting has really added to the appearance of this image. It's amazing how alike your pictures from both Namibia and Algeria are - it's difficult to tell at times which country you are in. Good work, look forward to seeing more.
