Cotton Load, a photo from Plateau, South

This is someone driving a load of Cotton down some very bumpy dirt roads. I saw trucks like this one almost daily. Quite a sight! Notice the dust forming behind the truck and also in the leaves on the trees.

Hi Ben,
I like this shot a lot because it opens my eyes to a completely different way of life- it looks very interesting. I have recently met someone from Benin and it's nice to see a photo from the place where she grew up. I do think the lighting is a bit off- probably not helped by the conditions of the day- so I have done a workshop. Hope you don't mind! Thanks for sharing!

I like the picture, the car is an old Peugeot 404 probably 30 or 40 years old. Impression they manage to keep running cars that long under such harsh condition.

Regarding the picture, I think the picture lacks contrast. The workshop proposition by Sarah Cooper is much better to my opinion although I find that the corrected image is probably a little bit too crispy/clean while the actual scene should have been really dusty so many a median correction between both images. The bad point is the overexposed cotton load which is probably unfixable.
