Photographer's Note
This moment was definately one of my highlights from my there months in Benin.
Let me set the scene: I was with a bunch of Canadians sipping a cold soft drink at a local resturant in Ketou. We sat on the patio overlooking an elementary school. The kids were on their way home, but were distracted by us Yovos (i.e.: the white folk).
By the end, there were easily a hundred of them circled around us... We all just stayed there, thrilled in each other's company.

Hi Caleb,
It is always a joy to see kid in that part of the world. It seem no matter how poor they are, dirty and mal nutrition, they are general happy, off course until they grow up and have to face the reality of life.
This is a nice shot, a good documentation of your trip and experience, like a photo journal as well a souvenir. Nice moment full of joyful energy and curious eyes.

These are some great faces of excitement and intrigue you've captured here. Are tourists in this area really so rare that this would be a pretty typically case? I like how you've composed this, giving us a sense of more kids outside the frame. Did these kids ask you for anything or were they just curious to talk to you? Anyway, I love it; great glimpse at a sight and area I've not had the luxury of experiencing to date. Thanks
