Photographer's Note
My favourite restuarant in Ketou was 'La Detente.' There was nothing particularly fancy about the place: just a place with ample shade to beat the heat of the hot African sun & a freezer full of ice cold Coca-Colas & Sprites.
Here is a very basic meal that you can expect from La Detente - or any other Beninese buvette for that matter. The sauce on top of the rice consists of tomatoes and onions. It's fairly spicy. It costs 100 franc CFA (a common currency that is used throughout French West Africa).

Hummmm it looks tasty! And the picture is very well managed.

PS: As for my pics of Moscow, I'm trying to avoid the typical ones ;.)

Bonjour Caleb,

On the thumbnail it looked like a shot of Earth from the space.
I like the way you placed the plate in shadows and lights
with the spoon half hidden in the dark.
The glimpse of the table is also nice...
The dark areas boot imagination:
you have to complete the picture in your mind using the hints you've left (spoon, table, and even the environment of this meal: I wonder how the cafe looks).
