Photographer's Note
Bobo-Dioulasso, mosquee of Dioulasso-Bā, the old mosquee of the city.
It's said that it was built by the king of Sya to thanks the muslim Sakidi Sanou to have helped him to fight again the Kenedougou lord.
Built in 1880 on an animist place of worship, it's characteristic of the "sudanese architecture". It's in banco, with pieces of wood (used to the outside covering restoration) and two minarets (one for the men, one for the women).
We can compare it to the big mosquee of Djenne in Mali, best exemple of sudanese buildings.
Here, some plastic containers fot the ablutions before going inside.
