This is the second picture which I share with you from the whale watching boat trip, which we have done off the Boa Vista Island. This time of the actual whale you can see here just the white side flipper, but I really liked the big splash caused by the whale next to the very little boat. I wonder whether occasionally whales collide with the boats.

Spectacular photo of the splashing water and just a small bit of the whale before it disappeared into the sea again. Must be impressive to see it from this close and you included the people in the boat very well at left, too.

Hello Mariusz, by including the boat and the people we get a very good idea of the scale of the whale, even though we see only a part of its tail.
I can imagine the swell of the sea as the whale went back underneath the water.
The spray tells us what is happening, with just a small part of the tail still evident.

a marvelous moment so well registered and with quality.People and whale so close, a magic moment. I remember I read some news about whales colliding against boats somewhere and a boat took by another to another spot, as a toy.. nice you weren't seasick when you took this image.

That seems close enough to the whales to really enjoy it.
Quite spectacular picture!
I also wondered with your previous photo whether whales never bump into the boats.
In any case, the people in your photo are not wearing life jackets.
Maybe on your next whale tour you can ask the tour organisation if a whale collision with a boat has ever happened.

This is very impressive! Not because of the whale we don't see much of. But the splash is wonderful. And you indeed were very close. And the boat is surprisingly small.
