Photographer's Note

This is my version of the famous Great Sphinx of Giza.
The Sphinx is a figure that combines the human head with the body of a lion. This one is carved out of the living rock, it is about 20 meters in height (65 feet), and seems to protect the pyramid of the Pharaon Khephren, and the entire area of Giza. The face of this pharaon is represented by the sphinx. It belongs to the IV dinasty (between 2.550-2.500 b.C.), so it has been about 4.500 years looking every day the sunrise, as it looks to the east side.

I know how many times you have seen it here, in TE, and in other places, but every time I look at it, it fascinates me for its serenity, its enigmatic appearance, and its beautiful face, overlooking the desert, the sky and the human beings, symbolizing the mystery of our history.
I encourage all you to visit this ancient place full of magic.
