Photographer's Note
After the River Nile Cruise we have spent a couple of days in Hurghada at the Red Sea.
We have selected new at that time Desert Rose Resort. It was fantastic.
Contrary to the situation with the boats you can usually select the hotel much in advance. I recommend checking first the vacation packages, and then read the comments on the selected hotels. Similarly as for boats: the number of stars does not matter very much, what counts more is if the resort is new or old. The new ones are clean and more elegant. Older ones even with the officially higher number of stars may be disappointing. I guess buying vacation packages is not a first choice for people who like to travel. However they may offer great value for your money. Many people who are going to such exotic places independently end up ripped off as they have no previous experience in bargaining. I think going for the first time to such an exotic country you may want to have it convenient, but it will of course raise your appetite for more.
One of the local tourist attractions in Hurghada is the Jeep Safari which is a whole day trip across a desert to the Bedouin village. Except for experiencing the desert, which is probably not at its best in this area, you can get an idea about the life of Bedouins, watch them at work, listen to some of their performances, taste some food, have a short ride on camel, etc. Overall it was a great experience, we have really enjoyed it.
The photo was taken a short drive away from Hurghada. We had a short break among hills to experience the desert.
In the workshop you can see a modified version with decreased red hue.
Still not sure which one is closer to the reality...

Hi Mariusz,
when I look at this photo I think in how insignificant is the human being opposite the nature, though it is a desert as you offer us in this composition.
I like the graphical effect and the contrast that has the white jeep in the middle of this inhospitable landscape of sand and of stones.
It is a simple and powerful image at the same time.
A great work.
Friendly regards,
Josep

Bonjour Mariusz
Assez impressionnant comme désert. J'espčre que le jeep t'as attendu avant de repartir car l'impression de solitude dans l'immensité doit ętre prenant.

Ciao Mariusz,
must have been a beautiful and adventurous safari jeep!
You have done well to climb a hill to take a picture.
So we can appreciate the magnitude and extent of this Red sea desert.
Great POV and sharpness.
Cheers

Witaj Mariusz,
A title well collected with this impressive and interesting shot. A superb landscape with a nice harmony in the colors. The white color of the 4x4car arise very well and give an idea of the important scale of the place.
Have a nice evening,

Hi Mariusz
now this is a cool shot!
cool in terms of likability not temperature :)
i'm sure its pretty hot in here.
without the jeep, i'm sure alot would be lost in the photo. the jeep gives perspective, and a real sense of loneliness and feeling insignificant.
strange colors, somewhat like a dry red?
awesome shot
cheers

Witaj,
W Egipcie nietrudno byc w takim miejscu. cała droga do Hurghady to middle of nowhere. Ten różowy kolorek przypomina mi Wadi Rum w Jordanii. ja byłam w Hurghadzie w 1993. A ty pływałeś?
Pozdrawiam M.

Hi Mariusz,
Yea this looks like the middle of nowhere in truth! Good distance from the car enhances the impression of vastness.
It looks quite hot too, at least during daytime!
Good general quality as well!

Hi Mariusz
This is not a conventional landscape. However, I'm fascinated by the warm sand against the sky and the rocks were sculpted into amazing shapes by the wind in restrained colour range. Fabulous image, the composition is excellent with the shot taking you towards the horizon and the extensive depth of field gives the effect of sitting under the open sky especially when focussing on the distant white jeep which is so well placed creating an excellent contrast and strong focal point. Interestingly all the tyre tracks intersect at the third where the jeep is, this I find very exciting and good observation on your part. Great work, Congrats

Hi dear Mariusz
Gosh you title says it all. You really are in the middle of nowhere here. The lone car surrounded by all that desolate landscape illustrates the idea perfectly. I love the dry colours, I can almost feel the heat here. Excellent definition and framing. Thanks for sharing, have a beautiful weekend.

Hi Mariusz
This SUV really looks lost in the nowhere land, there only is sand, nothing else. Great reddish colour hue, very dynamic and bold. Excellent framing and well written note. Good photo job.

Hello Mariuz,
What a perfect title for this beautiful image. I like the white jeep which not only gives the idea of the size but a nice contrast to the reddish color sand. Nice desert view with sharpness and colors.

Hello Mariusz,
Although there is no vegetation in this scene, it seems to be very interesting and attractive. Your picture represents a special atmosphere of desert perfectly. In comparison with the Central Asiatic deserts, this one looks much more picturesque due to the hills or dunes in the background. Excellent presentation of this type of terrains!
Best regards,
Sergiy

Hello Mariusz
The colour of the sand & the rocks in their rose coloured hues in in my opinion quite unique. The vehicle amidst the barrenness & surrounded by the low hillocks looks lonely. The tyre tracks create a good lead-in

Hola Mariusz,
From far I preferred this photo at the one in the WS, the reddish color is true the dessert color
Good to climb to be alone and to have time to create a very good capture with few elements
Like the inclusion of the jeep, as a reference
Great POV
This are the photos I enjoy the best

Ciao dear Mariusz,
I acknowledge the color (and taste) of this very fine sand like the face powder for women. When I was in Marsa Alam I had the pleasure of making a tour in the desert with the quad, the motorcycle with four wheels, and after two days I still had sand in the eyes, nose and throat. However, it's been a fantastic experience, as is fantastic your image of the rocky desert of Sinai. Incredible, as always, the perfect sharpness and the feel of 3D. Congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice Tuesday!

Very proper title!
This is one photo which one has the tendency to neglect from the thumbnail, at least this is the impression it gave to me the first time. But once opened you can appreciate it's beauty immediately. Deserts are good photographic subjects because of the great open spaces they offer, and here this sense of space is increased by the car which is like a magnetic pole which attracts our attention. Furthermore I like the colour of the sand/rocks - quite uniform and mellow. (While in this respect just for this reason, I prefer this version than the WS). I think you have composed well the image, often with all this emptiness the compositions are dull. On the contrary here it's very deep and dynamic thanks to the sight of that hill to the right and the car tracks in the sand. Again I must notice the excellent sharpness which shows so well every detail.
TFS,
Donato

Hello,
Usually I am crazy with the car tracks in désert I have many difficulties not to get inside the frame. But here it is a full part of the shot, especially with the car lost in the area. It is giving a feeling of wide place to see the big car so tiny in the landscape.

Hello Mariusz.
This is the real landscape of Egypt as you move away a little of the river and its oasis.
But the image has a great beauty, with the sandy plain and the hills entirely without vegetation, the ATV, adds the feeling of grandeur to the broad picture.
A wonderful light, well regulated and very natural color of the desert. Great job.
Most cordial greetings.
Luis.

Good evening Mariusz,
A stunning desert view, with no one there, except for the jeep, and no single tree and/or a bush.
Sand-powder eroded from hills around as long as millions of years, accumulated in a basin that looks as a flat-land.
Good photo from the middle of nowhere...

Hello Mariusz,
I didn't know you had been to Hurghada.
This is an amazing desert scenery.
Not red as in Wadi Rum. Rather pinkish here. But surely the kind of landscape that impresses me much.
Best regards, Paul
