Photographer's Note
The Hamar are a tribe who live on the eastern side of the Omo Valley in southern Ethiopia. One ritual they practice is their cattle-leaping ceremony. During the ceremony a young man leaps cattle and Hamar women get whipped to prove their love.

Hello Benjamin - I like the way you have composed this, the wide angle lens would not be everyone's choice for a portrait but I like the way it allows you to incorporate the cattle into the shot. Very good use of DOF. A compelling image which really draws the viewer in. Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Benjamin
Good dof to isolotate the boy from the bg. I also like the smack dab in the middle position of the guy. It turns the shot into a confrontation pf cultures (with curiosity taking upper hand). The line of tourists all the way at the back disturb the scene a bit, though.

Hello
Many have heard of living even in the traditional way Hamar tribe in the wilds of Ethiopia. Excellent portrait of a boy - a shepherd of flocks against white cow. Excellent quality, color and composition frame.

Hello Benjamin, for those who are aware of the rigours that these young boys are subjected to in the ritual this is not only a very fine portrait of a young boy but also conveys the atmosphere of the occasion very well.Great shot.
Best wishes, Les.

Great portrait it is! The only tiny flaw are those trees cut at the top. But I realized after the longer examination :-)
