Photographer's Note
As we all know, Craig is looking for the abandoned objects everywhere so I have here something for him - the abandoned prison on the island of Carabane. It was called "Ecole speciale" - The special school. I couldn't find more information about it on Google.
Carabane is an island and a village located in the extreme south-west of Senegal, in the mouth of the Casamance River.

Hello Malgo,
I would imagine that Craig would love to be transported here!
It suits his favourite themes very well.
You have captured the eclectic mix of textures extremely well and I love how you have used the tree in the f/g to create a fine sense of depth. The tree also creates a bright canopy over the dilapidated building.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Malgo,
Maybe Craig would be a little disappointed if he came here. He wouldn't have to break into this abandoned building, which I think is part of the fun. What I enjoy in this photo, and the others, are the different stones and bricks of the walls and the broken stones on the ground. The nicest composition is probably "Krzysztof's window".
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Malgo,
Craig would sure love this and so do I. I like the framing and the inclusion of the overhanging tree, which supplies a lovely counterpoint to all that stone and brickwork. Excellent rendering of the colours and lots of beautifully rendered textural detail.

Ciao Malgo,
C'est très plaisant de penser à nos amis photographes dans certaines circonstances. Ici, l'endroit semble abandonné mais offre de très belles textures pour ceux qui savent apprécier.
Amicalement

Hello Malgo,
I am sure Craig will like the photo of this abandoned place. You composed it really well, as the place is well framed by the tree at left and the old wall at right. Very well done and the sharpness was great for the many details.

Hi Malgo
yes! thank you very much for this post, always great to know people are thinking about you when others are off travelling.
Gert and Bev are both right :) I'd love to be transported here, but its too bad I can't break in hahahaha. wonderful subject content, so much history and mystery here. When I look at the open spaces and walls, I wonder what went on here. Interesting to have the tree there too. awesome place, thanks again! cheers

Ciao Malgo
questo è un rudere molto particolare, non si tratta della solita casa abbandonata, qui c'è un pezzo di storia, una triste storia.
Eccellente condivisione, un luogo insolito per TE, delle notizie nuove per noi.
Saluti
Carlo
PS grazie per gli auguri!!!

Hi Malgo
Almost like some of the back streets of Khiva where people often still get their water from wells. And, yes, a good Craig one.

Hello Malgo,
I am sure Craig will love this abandoned and dilapidated old building with its crumbling facade and exposed red bricks. Good sharpness and the mango tree nicely frames the image. I wonder if the former prisoners got fresh mangoes for desert? Tfs!
