Hi Brendan, long time since I saw a picture of you.
I like the row of children, all with eager, interested? expressions on their faces. I now read your note, yes it must be an eager expression, waiting for a lolly. It's nice that they are almost all visible but I'm sorry that the first boy's face is not to be seen.
Why did you desaturate so much?

I actually think the desaturation works extremely well here. I also think that I have the exact same sweater the first kid is wearing?! If I had to suggest anything it would be a longer DOF in order to get more expressions clearly, but this shot works just as well.

The expressions in the eyes are different in each child. The one popping out of line on the right looks angry. In the second one you can see the smile in the eyes even though you cannot see his mouth. The last ones have something of a " are we really going to get something?" expression. Eagerness in children is such a great quality but here it is sad.
