Photographer's Note
There is some fantastic scenery all along Deeside. This particular view was taken in mid autumn from the bridge at Banchory, and I was impressed with the colours of the foilage.
Whilst we were standing here we were able to watch the salmon leaping out of the water on their way upstream.

hello Finlay,
you have captured the wonderful autumn colours of this part of Scotland. Isn't it a small world? My son has recently moved to here and I was delighted to see the beautiful colours of the trees here (of which there are plenty!).
Thanks for looking at my picture of the old kirkyard which I took on my way home from visiting.

Hi Finlay. I really like the way you've managed to capture the textures of the clouds as well as the autumn colours of the foliage in the same image, making excellent use of the available light. I know this area well; my Mum's family comes from Aberdeenshire and we used to spend summer holidays on Deeside. Thanks for bringing back some happy memories! Cheers, Colin.

I looked at your gallery and chose this one to comment because I really liked it!
Many good technical qualities: sharpness, management of light, viewpoint and composition!
The whole scene is pretty attractive and pleasant and I like the color of the vegetation and even the grey sky above! The river is also a highlight and I really like it!
