Photographer's Note

A detail from Ayia Marina. The yellow building is two-storey and completely detached from any other buildings, it is surrounded by streets. Its first floor is vacant but the ground floor hosts a pastry shop called "the traditional". The traditional sweets they prepare have pastry, honey and nuts as most common ingredients. An unusual lerian candy is little tomatoes in sweet syrup.
The flower wreath by the entrance is a traditional habit too. People put them by or above thresholds on May 1st to celebrate spring and for good luck.

Thank you for visiting
