The Riverina area of New South Wales is crossed by many old railway lines, some of which are still in use, but just for carting wheat.
The tiny village of Milvale (population 67) is on one such line. The village is so small it didn't even have a pub, just this old abandoned general store.
The railway, rebuilt, is due to eventually reopen as part of a major new inland goods line between Melbourne and Brisbane. The new trains won't be stopping at Milvale!

Hello Ian,
Maybe this dilapidated building shows a truer face of the Australian outback than the beautifully restored houses in your last post. It's an interesting view and a well processed photo.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
The abandoned store is so photogenic and you have processed the photo optimally to bring out the clouds and also the details of the damaged walls of the store.
Fantastic final effect, great light and colors,

Hello Ian,
A great photo of the old building of this store. The green colours of the roof and walls still stand out well in this clear sunlight. The sky looks really great as well with some very attractive clouds there.

Hi Ian,very few ihabitants, so it's impossible for a pub or a store to survive. And this old one remains like a legend, close to collapse but a great witness of the past of this village, great capture under a wonderful sky. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ian,
I guess 67 people could not support a general store, I wonder how far they have to drive for their supplies now.

Hello Ian
I suppose one day they will eventually put in high speed trains between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Well composed using the rule of thirds and the dilapidated old store makes an interesting focal point. Tfs!

Hello ian,
Evidence of life from past era in the region, sure there were people who use to shop in this store.
how poor it looks now, maybe some day it would be renovated for the legacy of the place.
Good evening,,

ian
an excellent view of this ruined store telling an history that will be lost soon. Australia has so few people and most of the people stay in the big towns, I presume most part of the island is empty.
take care
