I am back from a short family trip to Poland. Before I share my new photos from Poland, I think I will continue with some more photos from my holidays on Boa Vista.

I have shared with you photos taken during my two adventures on Boa Vista: the quad tour of the north and the whale watching. I had a pleasure to participate in one more excursion. It was organized by a nice local tour company: Rotcha-Tours. The company was founded by a Swiss lady and her Cape Verdean husband. Before going for my holidays to Boa Vista I explored available options, I intended to rent a car but after I gave up on this option, I knew I have to rely on tour operators. There are some tours organized by TUI, but I think they were overpriced and not necessarily having the best combinations of destinations. There was one very popular local company, which makes a great job in marketing but they are even more expensive. After choosing carefully what each company has to offer and how much it will cost me, I decided to ask for help the Rotcha-Tours, who offered a great cost-benefit ratio. In the end I was very satisfied with their service and I can highly recommend them.

The upcoming series of photos starting with this photo, was taken on a tour called “Santa Monica No Stress”. It was focused on several most beautiful beaches on Boa Vista and the mean of transport was a jeep. The group of participants consisted of two families. In addition to me, my wife and my daughter, there was a second very friendly British family of three, with a daughter of similar age to my daughter, which made this trip even more exciting for the girls. The first photo was taken in a viewpoint called Morro de Areia; it is exactly what it says it is, a “sand hill” with 167 m altitude. The very long sandy beach stretching many kilometers is called Praia de Chaves. Quite a spectacular sight but there was no way to capture it with all its splendour in a photo. I included here a couple walking along the beach for the scale. I picked a fragment of the view here, I may show you a wider scene later as well.
