Photographer's Note
I have shown a magnificent interior of the Ottobeuren church. Here the exterior view.
Ottobeuren is a Benedictine abbey, located in Ottobeuren, near Memmingen in the Bavarian Allgäu, Germany.
For part of its history Ottobeuren Abbey was one of the 40-odd self-ruling imperial abbeys of the Holy Roman Empire and, as such, was a virtually independent state. At the time of its dissolution in 1802, the imperial abbey covered 266 square kilometers and had about 10,000 subjects.
It was founded in 764 by Blessed Toto, and dedicated to St. Alexander, the martyr. Of its early history little is known beyond the fact that Toto, its first abbot, died about 815 and that Saint Ulrich was its abbot in 972. In the 11th century its discipline was on the decline, until Abbot Adalhalm (1082–94) introduced the Hirsau Reform.
Ottobeuren Abbey has one of the richest music programs in Bavaria, with concerts every Saturday. Most concerts feature one or more of the Abbey's famous organs. The old organ, the masterpiece of French organbuilder Karl Joseph Riepp (1710–75), is actually a double organ; it is one of the most treasured historic organs in Europe. It was the main instrument for 200 years, until 1957 when a third organ was added by G. F. Steinmeyer & Co, renovated and augmented in 2002 by Johannes Klais, making 100 stops available on five manuals (or keyboards).

Hello Malgo,
Both exterior photos are very good, well exposed in the dull weather and well composed with framing trees. The interior is also very well taken, but unfortunately I am not too keen on these overloaded Baroque and Rococo decorations. And I don't like Rubens paintings either. That is how disrespectful I am.
Kind regards,
Gert
PS You have already been home for several days, so I guess you have another trip planned for next week?

Hello Malgo,
Nice capture of this ornately decorated Baroque façade. The framing trees add a touch of graphism. Very good rendering of the colours and decorative detail despite the inhospitable sky.

Ciao Malgo,
Quelle belle contre plongée. Elle donne une très belle ampleur à la Basilique. J'aime la neige qui s'accroche aux branches ainsi que ce ciel monochrome qui fait bien ressortir les détails.
Amicalement

Hello Malgo,
Nice upwards view of the church with its twin towers and many fine details. A pretty typical church for this region too. The snow gives an extra charming touch and the trees add a nice frame.

Hi Malgorzata
This really feels like the atmosphere of Winter. A huge church beautifully framed by the trees where the architectural design is so eye popping drawing attention. Wonderful shot, Congrats

Ciao Malgo
la Baviera è una regione molto bella e ricca di chiese meravigliose.
Bellissima questa abbazia e bello il suo interno, il clima invernale la rende più interessante.
Saluti
Carlo
