Hello Jean, I do not like especially cormorants but this view of the bird drying the wings is beautiful. it is another kind, with all the feathers black. Nice reflexes of light in the water.

En plus de ces grandes ailles déplier, le regard bien positionner, poser sur le rocher près de la mer, les couleurs font un beaux contraste, la lumière est belle , la netteté impeccable

It's a beautiful photo of the big bird drying its wings. It is well placed on the light brown rock and there are beautiful reflections in the sea. Light and sharpness are perfect.

The cormorant are not the best friends of the fishermen here in Belgium.
But the bird is wonderful photographed.

Hello Jean,

Cormorants are so recognisable by the way they spread their wings.
You are right, they are like washing on a washing line, decorously drying!
This is an excellent shot! The iridescent sheen on its wings looks glorious and though its eye is not very big, you have managed to capture a catchlight there!

Hi Jean,
I guess it's quite typical for cormorants to rest with wings wide open like that. It makes a great photo. Deep blue seawater is a beautiful background.

I am a little surprised that this cormorant is quite same species with Japanese one. Anyway so aharp and clear nature image. You didi get the perfect momet of just opening two wings.

we have seen a few of these Cormorant's on TE lately, here we have another one. Perfect timing for the photographer too.
You couldn't have asked for anything better than this.
Wings wide open, bright light, aqua green in the water and the water itself has some nice flow to it. lovely shot

Beautiful reaction to the cormorant picture of Alexandre. Here we see wonderful that the European "aalscholver" is not inferior to the Brazilian and perhaps a nicer background choose to take the picture.

Missed this one. The amber red colour of the fg rocks contrasts superbly with the blue water and gives a wonderful warm cold colour contrast. The cormorant drying its wings is a good bonus addition. Tfs!

we can see similar scenes here in big rivers and beach and I saw in many other countries too. here black vultures do this too. nice sharpness in the image with the flagrant of nature, so beautiful.
